Foundations

Foam mattresses are finest on firm foundations!  Your DixieFoam mattress will perform best when used on a solid or very firm base.  DixieFoam mattresses are therefore ideally suited for use on platform type bed foundations.  Your DixieFoam mattress can also be placed directly on a bed frame provided it has closely spaced slats.  And, of course, it can be placed on one of our Box Foundations or our Platfoam^tm bed bases (with or without a headboard), as described below.

Also known as the "spring-less box spring", this foam-padded, well-constructed slatted wood foundation provides the perfect flat, firm surface required to take full advantage of the luxurious feel of your foam mattress.There are no moving parts to squeak or pop. Use it either with a traditional bed frame or adjustable bed frame.
